Peonies Flowers Available for June 2020 Season - Order Your Peony Flowers Now!

The 2020  Peonies Season is almost here!   Bridgewater Gardens, located just west of Saline, Michigan is  taking orders for peonies for June 2020.    It has been a long winter with the Coronavirus situation and we are definitely looking forward to seeing our beautiful peonies!

In Michigan our peony flower season usually starts around June 1.  For this year we are expecting the peony season to be somewhat normal with bloom time during the first week of June, possibly around June 3 or 4.  We will post updates as we see what our spring weather does.

Sometimes if we have a warm spring we will have flowers in late May, sometimes in time for Memorial Day weekend.     Since the peony flower bloom is very dependent on the weather we are taking orders for weddings or other special events that take place during the following dates in June:

1) If you are local in Michigan and can pick up your flowers we are glad to accept your order for weddings starting on June 7, 2016 through June 21.

2) For peonies that need to be shipped a couple of extra days is required for shipping and allowing time for the flowers to open so we are taking orders for wedding dates of June 10 through June 21.

It is very possible that we will have some peonies flowers available earlier and later than these dates but it is difficult to predict. If you need flowers for your Michigan wedding this June and are in driving distance of the Ann Arbor area then you are welcome to pick up your peonies and there are no shipping costs.  We are located:

• 15 minutes southwest of Ann Arbor
• 1 hour west of Detroit
• 1 hour north of Toledo, Ohio
• 1 hour east of Jackson
• 1 hour and 20 minutes east of Battle Creek
• 2 hours east of Kalamazoo

Each year many of our brides  pick up their wedding peonies.  We can have them ready in 5 gallon buckets when you arrive.   For Michigan cities that are not within driving distance we can also ship Fedex overnight to Michigan locations.  Fedex charges within Michigan start at about $35 for delivery or 3 or 4 dozen flowers by 10:30am the next day to most cities within Michigan. For quantities larger than 3 or 4 dozen the cost goes up a few dollars per dozen.

For the 2020 peony season we will be offering limited shipping service on these dates:

• June 10 for June 11 arrival for June 13 & 14 events
• June 17 for June 18 arrival for June 20 & 21 events

We will offer local pickup on an appointment basis during the entire bloom season.  

Please note: Our peony delivery dates are subject to change based on weather conditions and when the bloom season begins so just check with us as your wedding date approaches.  We will update this post as we get closer to the season.

Spring is here and I am glad to report that the peonies are up out of the ground and growing!   Other than the past week we have had a pretty cold spring and are expecting the peonies season to be a few days late this year.   Just to be safe we are taking orders for peonies for weddings and other events that take place on or after June 8, 2013

Peonies For 2014 Weddings

Bridgewater Gardens is taking orders for peonies flowers for 2013 weddings.  Because every order is customized to the brides needs we do not have online ordering.

Please complete our contact form and be sure to include the date of your wedding or special event and your zip code.   We will get back to you with a customized quote including shipping if you are outside of the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. 

Once we determine your peony flower needs and shipping costs we will add you to our list.  If your flowers will be shipped to you we will invoice you with Paypal in late April.  Or if you are picking the flowers up you can pay with check or cash when you arrive.

2013 Peony Season

It is freezing cold here in Michigan and we are anxiously awaiting spring and all of the spring flowers.    We are taking orders for the 2013 peony season.    For the June 2013 we will be taking orders for weddings starting Friday June 7.  We normally have peonies through June and often times into the first week of July.

It is very possible that we will have peony flowers earlier in June or even late May but it depends on what kind of spring weather we have.   Please sign up on our e-mail list to be notified of peony availability.     The last date we will be able to provide peony flowers for the 2013 season will be for Friday July 5 weddings.

Peony Flower Season 2011

The fall gardening is officially done and I am thinking about everything we need to do prior to the 2011 peony season which will start for us sometime in early June or possibly in late May like it did this year.  

During the winter time is when I have time to update the website and order our  our supplies for the next peony season.  We always needs lots of boxes and wrapping paper for packing and overnight shipping of the peony flowers.

Peonies Plants / Peony Plants

Bridgewater gardens has been selling fresh cut peonies since 2002.  We are often asked by customers who purchase peonies if we also sell peony plants and roots. On a few occastions we have sold some peony plants in the past but for the most part we have only sold the peony flowers.  For the Fall of 2010 Bridgewater Gardens we will begin to offer regular sales each fall of peony plants.   During the Fall of 2010 we will offered the following peony varieties:

Peony Pink Princess - Single Pale Pink Peony w/ Yellow Center

Peony Edulis Superba - A bright pink or hot pink large peony flower. Below is a photo of pink Edulis Superba peony buds.

Peony Keriser Aurora - A rare red Russian Peony variety

Bridgewater Gardens is no longer in the business of selling peony palnts but you can see the varieties that we used to sell here of the Bridgewater Gardens website.    Shipping of peony plants will start mid to late September and continue through early November or as our root supplies allow.  We will be adding more peony varieties soon so please check back.
